Many visitors to Maui believe that staying in a private tropical beachfront estate is either impossible or reminiscent of a bygone era. However, a stay at the Maui Dream will make this fantasy a reality.

Maui Dream is a six-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bath luxury oceanfront home in Kahana, conveniently located between historic Lahaina Town and the exclusive resort community of Kapalua on Maui’s west shore.

As you enter through your own automatic wood gate, you’re immediately greeted by a towering Monkeypod tree amidst lush tropical gardens in the courtyard. Many guests immediately begin exploring the house and are genuinely surprised to discover Maui Dream is located just steps from Maui’s incredible marine sanctuary. It is not uncommon to see spinner or bottlenose dolphins playing nearby, as well as humpback whales often seen breaching the surface. On occasion, giant green sea turtles (honu) and even endangered monk seals can be found sunning themselves on the sand. Early risers may be rewarded with spectacular sunrises and the opportunity to observe local fishermen casting their traditional nets or spear diving for octopus (tako) on the shore break.

Ocean facing from Maui Dream, the views stretch from the south shore of Lana’i to Mokuniki, just offshore of Moloka’i’s northeastern tip. These views are not only from the tranquil yard but also from two stories of glass-lined lanais, not to mention from the comfort of four oceanfront master suites facing west within the home.

The open-air and open-floor plan of the house was purpose-built to take advantage of the gentle trade winds. The front of the house features a massive retractable floor-to-ceiling glass wall that slides away effortlessly to create an elegant indoor/outdoor oceanfront living and dining experience. Each bedroom is equipped with its own individual air conditioning unit for those rare occasions when the tradewinds die down.

When you stay at Maui Dream, there is “no place like home” for beach lovers. Only a few steps across the pillowy soft lawn will bring you to your own private escape where you can swim, snorkel, and stand up paddle directly in front of the home. If, on the other hand, you enjoy adventure, some of the world’s most famous beaches are just minutes away – Kaanapali Beach to the south and Napili Bay to the north. However, the majority of guests prefer to spend their time swimming in the freshwater Honu pool, sunbathing poolside while listening to the waterfall, or relaxing in the large jacuzzi while sipping a Mai Tai with the jets turned up high.
